The Deception Anchors: How Untrained News Personalities are Shaping Public Opinion.
In the modern media landscape, the title of “News Anchor” often conveys a sense of authority and trustworthiness. This is how humans have been influenced and propagandized for thousands of years. In modern times you get to call your company a “News” station because that is the title you have had for decades. But now instead of news readers or real reporters you hire former White House employees, activists, and pretty boys and girls who commit to promoting your agenda and to push political candidates on the far left spectrum and call them “journalists”.
However, the disturbing reality is that most of these anchors lack formal training in investigative journalism. Instead, they often rely on longevity, flamboyance, personality, or physical appearance to secure their positions. For those readers who may be on the left and are already incensed that I am singling out stations such as CNN and MSNBC, this applies across the board. Since the name of my website is IndoctYOUnation, everyone is trying to convince you that you should believe what they say. It is up to the individual to assess what they see and hear and realize what they are getting, which is indoctrination. The people evangelizing to you have little or no training in what they are trying to convince you of and do not know how to investigate the subject matter.
The Lack of Journalism Training
When we think of news anchors, we typically assume they are well-versed in the principles of journalism, having spent years honing their skills in investigative reporting, fact-checking, and objective storytelling. However, this is almost always not the case. Many prominent news anchors do not have degrees in journalism or any formal training in investigative reporting.
For instance, at major networks like CNN and MSNBC, it is common for anchors to have degrees in unrelated fields such as law, politics, or economics. While these backgrounds can provide valuable insights into specific topics, they do not replace the rigorous training required for investigative journalism. This lack of training leads to biased reporting, incomplete information, and a failure to critically analyze complex issues. Naturally, the reader should not believe me. I don’t want anyone to believe me until they check what I say out. One can easily search online to find out how many “News” reporters have any training at all in what they are disseminating.
The Influence of Activism Over Journalism
The absence of formal journalism training often results in news anchors who are more activists than journalists. These individuals may use their platforms to promote specific ideologies dictated by the station owners rather than provide balanced, fact-based reporting. This blurs the line between news and opinion, justifiably leading to a public who is increasingly skeptical of the media’s integrity.
Consequences for Public Trust
The erosion of public trust in the media is a direct consequence of this trend. When news anchors are perceived as promoting personal agendas rather than objective truth, it undermines the credibility of the entire news industry. The public begins to view news as either partisan or propagandistic, leading to a decline in trust and an increase in cynicism towards the media. The current situation is due to the desire for ad revenue. A monotone newsreader doesn’t get the views. An anchor who is well-spoken, good-looking, loud and emphatic with off-the-wall opinions that match the views of the station owners does. Those are the anchors who are indoctrinating and propagandizing America we have today
Practical Examples and Observations
News anchors ask prepared softball questions to a politician who has their same ideology and acts as prosecutors to those on the other side. This format undermines the credibility of news reporting. It makes the entire process seem rehearsed and lacking in spontaneity, further eroding public trust.
Moreover, the focus on appearance and personality over journalistic credentials can lead to a superficial presentation of news. This can result in shallow reporting that fails to delve into the complexities of an issue, leaving viewers with only a surface-level understanding of important topics.
Since the anchors have an agenda they are unprepared or unwilling to ask follow-up questions that may put a politician who is from their party in a bad light. They also will not report major news that calls their ideology into question.
The Need for Accountability and Change
To restore the integrity of journalism, news organizations could prioritize the hiring of individuals with formal training in investigative journalism. This includes ensuring that anchors and reporters have the necessary skills to conduct thorough research, interview sources critically, and present information in an unbiased manner. Additionally, there is a need for ongoing training and professional development within newsrooms. I don’t see this happening. There is not enough money in it. Advertisers want views.
Conclusion
The title of “News Anchor” carries significant weight in shaping public opinion and influencing societal discourse. However, when these anchors lack the foundational training in investigative journalism, the entire system is compromised. All of the major news organizations are worried about losing customers to alternate news entities online. Today there are much smaller news sites, and even individuals who have lots of contacts and audiences on YouTube and social media. On Twitter, oftentimes you will get important news there first and news that mainstream media is afraid to cover, such as the real cause of distress in France and Brazil
For this reason, you now see a presidential candidate vowing to reign in Twitter. She knows that mainstream Media covers her extremely favorably and wants to shut down any entity that does not. We cannot let that happen. Hate speech and calls to violence cannot be tolerated. But, the party in power wants to eliminate anything they deem to be “disinformation” and they claim the sole right to determine what that is.
