It is widely believed that illegal aliens commit fewer crimes than ordinary citizens. Like many other major lies, this one is believed because the media keeps repeating the lie.
If you were told that illegal aliens commit fewer crimes than the average citizen and that more than one study confirmed this, what would you think? In all likelihood, you would not want to argue with those making the claims because you heard this same thing from many others and figured it must be true. There are many things the public no longer questions because some person or some organization “in authority” has insisted it was true and had the data to back it up. As a result, many others accept the alleged “data” because to question it would generate scorn and ridicule if you refuse to believe “expert” opinion. Emotionally many people can’t withstand a barrage of angry accusations hurled at them on a topic they are unfamiliar with and remain quiet.
We need to overcome our natural innate tendency to automatically believe those in alleged authority because we no longer have to as we did centuries ago. This pertains to anything and everything because, like it or not, the fact is that those in power lie repeatedly intentionally, and unintentionally, especially when it comes to politics and religion. They repeat what others say and tell them whether that be a parent, a sibling, a friend, a teacher, a pastor, or anyone else who is an authority figure. This is built into humanity as a protective mechanism. This big lie is major and repeated by many others who have not checked and repeat the lie with surety because so many others say the same thing, so it “must” be true.
Did you know that only ONE state keeps records of crimes that are readily accessible by us mere peons? That state would be Texas and the so-called experts that fool the unsuspecting public are open borders advocate Libertarians, such as the report from the CATO Institute that is held out as the gold standard of “proof” that we have nothing to fear because his study shows that illegal aliens commit fewer crimes. What CATO did was use Texas as a barometer and used the population of Texas which is huge and then did the math from that to compare that population with the United States and determined that since Texas had X population and the United States population was X, that percentage meant that illegal aliens committed fewer crimes than the citizens.
That so many accept the CATO report without question is more disturbing to me than ancient civilizations believing that tossing a nubile young virgin stops a volcano because it was stopped when a 13-year-old was sacrificed but the populace was not told that she was the 125th one thrown into the fire. What the CATO report leaves out is the most important information of all. I knew this going in and was annoyed that the main chat program called Copilot took a half hour of prodding to give me the information and I felt as if I was chatting with an immigration advocate judge.
Texas has several sanctuary counties that limit their cooperation with federal immigration authorities. They are San Antonio, Austin, El Paso County, El Cenizo, Dallas County, Houston, and Travis County, The population of those counties represents one-third of Texas! As was I, you might be wondering what is meant by “counties limiting their cooperation with federal immigration authorities,” This means that these cities and counties have policies in place that restrict their local law enforcement from actively working with federal immigration agencies. This can include things like:
Not holding individuals for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) beyond their release date without a judicial warrant.
Not inquiring about an individual’s immigration status during police interactions.
Not sharing information about an individual’s immigration status with federal authorities unless it pertains to a serious crime.
Other so-called experts also rely on Texas and try to make it appear that Texas is tough on crime and illegal aliens and tout that Texas has a Department of Public Safety that collects data on crimes by illegal aliens in cooperation with ICE through fingerprinting and warrant checks and FBI records. If you go onto the official government site it starts with a reassuring statement that says:
The Department of Public Safety and local law enforcement agencies in Texas participate in the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Secure Communities. Participation in Secure Communities enables DHS to work with state and local law enforcement to take custody of individuals who pose a danger to public safety before those individuals are released into our communities.
Most readers would think it is mandatory across Texas to follow what the Department of Public Safety says, and they would be wrong. It is NOT a law. It is merely a suggestion to placate the peons. Sanctuary jurisdictions often refuse to follow what amounts to guidelines and requests. Since they have very large populations of illegal aliens because they are a sanctuary city or county, their economy is built around them. They dare not bite the hand that feeds them by revealing to the inhabitants just how many of them are in jail for crimes.
If a story becomes too long, people’s eyes glaze over and they lose interest. So, I will conclude this piece by saying that all of America is gaslit into thinking that illegal aliens commit fewer crimes. With the fervor of this administration eagerly begging people from all over to come to America for the past 4 years, and no way of knowing who they are or where they are from, we are at the mercy of those who have willingly imported all comers under lax and spurious reasons. When we have every single state benefiting from the jobs in government that are created by their presence and are gaslit into a belief that “illegals” commit fewer crimes, and we sit back and continue to take the lies, it is our fault for electing open borders believers like Kamala and Tim Walz and the current crop of Democrats in office who trick and deceive us with the lies of the CATO institute.
Excellent as always
